What’s covered: My interests center on editing and writing and on editors and the challenges they face in a changing environment. I’m convinced editors are not being trained enough to face these challenges, but that common sense rules the day. I’m heavily involved in Newsplex, the new-media newsroom at the University of South Carolina. But my interests are wide-ranging, so anything, from ethics to some aspects of Web design, is fair game.
The Star TSP143 features everything all in one box! The TSP143 package includes the printer, USB and power cords, receipt design software and all software drivers, making this receipt printer the easiest to set up and begin using. The TSP143 features 203 dpi resolution, 3.15″ paper width and a 25 receipt-per-minute print speed even when printing graphics. Use the included software to preview receipts before printing, add coupons and logos to receipts, remove unwanted white space and enhance barcode printing. The Star TSP143 does it all straight out of the box!
My USB receipt printer was working just fine and suddenly it stopped. I restarted the software, the app, and the printer, and nothing. I deleted and re-added the Square POS app. I’ve even tried a new printer, and nothing works. When I try setting up a new printer station in the app, no printers are listed as connected–it simply says “station disabled.” I’m not sure what else to try at this point, and I have not been able to get Square support over the phone nor have they responded to my email inquiry.
Don’t worry too much about speed. For photos, quality matters more, and even the slowest printers today offer tolerable print speeds, at about 2 minutes for a 4-by-6 on our tests. Keep in mind too that measured speeds are typically slower than claimed speeds, and (as we note in our reviews where applicable) the speed for any given printer may vary depending on the source you’re printing from.
I have been using this company for months only to find out within the last few they have withdrawn $4627.93 from my account in a single month. We are a company specializing in customizing car parts for customers all over the country. It seems that these people will not answer the phone at all! Where are the customer service reps? I have called the only two numbers that I could find. One 415-375-3176 just is an automated voice message telling me to email firstname.lastname@example.org to get prompt answers. I have emailed them and no response at all. The other number I got from their bank thru mine (JP Morgan Chase) 877-417-4551 and still the same crap as the 415-375-3176. Their company ID is 9424300002 and leads to no where. I am fed up with this company and want my money that I earned legitimately. This company spends all their money in advertising instead of hiring CSR’s to help with issues like this one! DONT USE SQUARE!
Because scanners interface differently with Square for Android than they do with Square for iOS (they primarily work by searching, and they can only search by product name or numeric SKU), nearly any USB scanner should work with Square. We successfully tested USB interface Zebra, Honeywell, POS-X and Datalogic scanners, and even older scanners were able to scan and search in Square.
An entry-level Ethernet version of the popular TSP100 futurePRNT printer. Ethernet is the connection method of choice for hospitality and retail environments requiring fast, long distance, reliable communication. However, this extremely flexible choice of connection has always come at a cost. This is no longer the case, the TSP143LAN is the world’s first dedicated Ethernet receipt printer available at virtually entry-level pricing.
Use *Ethernet setting tool* for connection between the printer and the PC or tablet. It is installed at the same time as the Windows printer driver (futurePRNT) is installed, and “Ethernet setting tool” can also be downloaded and installed separately.

Pay Pal says this is compatible, but the few reps I have spoken with are not really familiar enough to guide me through. My LG Optimus phone runs T-Mobile 4g. I connected stand alone router(LAN?) to printer. I am guessing there is a conflict and I need to disconnect 4g or whatever wifi is connected to phone in order to pick-up signal from LAN router, assuming I can’t receive two simultaneous signals. That would disconnect me from Pay Pal transaction. Don’t know what I missing, but so far it’s a lot of wasted time and money. There’s no customer service that I can find with printer and the user guide is scant. I’ll take another look at Star website, but don’t expect to find a solution there. A USB connection would have likely prevented many issues/
In addition, the TSP650II BTi comes with three-year limited manufacturer warranty (U.S. and Canada) with Swap-A-Star next business day replacement coverage warranty (U.S.), so you can be confident about your printer’s performance.

I had a issue with the printer not turning on due to a malfunctioning square pos stand from square up. I spent about 3 hours on it , I called the customer service and a nice guy was able to guide me thru. It turns out the iPad air needed a software update to a iOS 11 beta 2 in order to work and connect. He helped me out on the products I didn’t even buy from him. He even directed me to a link to exchange my square pos stand. If you ever had to work squareup customer service you would know how lengthy and tedious it can get. He was able to help me bypass a lot of the complication and the product I brought was just the cash drawer and printer and it was in great and working condition. After I got my iPad air updated and pos stand exchanged everything connected and works perfectly now! This saves me over a thousand dollars!! I am so happy with my result I reorder another one from them!

POS printers and accessories also give you the ability to provide a proof of purchase for each transaction. A printed receipt can greatly assist with returns or exchanges at a later date. To keep your printers printing, use high-quality POS paper.
The M10 and M30 are very similar form factors, this is set to top load, this is set to front load. In the top load version, your cover opens up, your paper just drops in. The printer can also be converted to the front load version. In the front load, your paper drops in like so.
Driver for printing receipts on bluetooth printers like Cashino PTP-II POS printer and Elio P100 printer. Printing should work also on other bluetooth printers (not tested). Simply share you content via “Receipt printer” application and your content will be printed immediately.
Bought it to print off my Square register with an iPad Air and it worked perfectly right out of the box! No driver download, no ink to mess with – plugged it in, plugged in the USB printer cable (mine WAS included) added paper, went back to previous sales and hit print receipt & a nice clean receipt slid out the top. Seems very commercial grade & well designed. This is kind of a 5 star review for both this printer and the square register since they go together so seamlessly. Very nice.
Closed my store and I am selling my POS system. This includes iPad 2 Wi-Fi/cellular AT&T with excellent condition with no scratch whatsoever and Square stand in great condition and comes with all acce…

Receipt printer worked wonderfully with my Square checkout terminal and drawer that I also ordered off Amazon. I love that it’s thermal so you don’t have to purchase ink. It was easy to load the paper and easy to unload. All the items you need for the printer are here on Amazon so I could have it delivered directly to my workplace.

iPhone Photo Printers have recently become quite popular amongst people. That only makes sense considering people hardly use desktops and laptops anymore. Everything has become portable, and people perform most of their actions on an iPhone or a tablet. As such, it makes sense that you’ll be looking for a means to print photos from iPhone.

We used to use a standard receipt paper and decided that for the small cost difference it was worth trying a more environmentally safe option. So far the receipts have been just as good as the older stock.

Well, I’m not a company or work for square up at all. I will tell you that the square company is the problem and is a HUGE SECURITY risk for customers and the merchants both. I have family that used the square both as a customer and a merchant and help with it all. I found that this company is not good to use at all. So, my advance is never to use square up at all. They are a huge security risk. Not only that they will keep your money on your purchases for 90 days before the merchant gets their money from your purchase. Which is very illegal in my opinion.
@SSmobile @Kevin7 – I went ahead and moved both of your comments over to the thread where we are tracking this feature request. I totally understand your frustration and desire for Epson support. They make a mean printer that is also a fraction of the cost of most Star printers. I have personally passed this feedback along to our product team, and expanding compatibility is something that is top of mind for them. I’ll update this thread if/when this functionality is added in the future!
Had 3 of these in my place to on cash draws one in the kitchen they work well as long as there is no internet/WiFi drop off. Using it with couple IPad Airs and Square register app for several years. When I loose internet or sometimes they seem to disconnect from the register even when I don’t have internet problems and they usually have to powered off and on. Also in the mean time my cash draw wont open and I have to find the key. Being so annoyed I with connection issues I have since replaced them with the USB versions (except the kitchen one) and all my problems stopped.
