There is a wide variety of hardware that works with Square for Android, despite not being officially supported. Bluetooth accessories, for example, are not officially compatible with Square for Android. However, we have tested Bluetooth scanners with success; they function with Square for Android the same way as USB scanners. We have tested the following unsupported hardware, and we have found it works with Square. Please keep in mind that since this hardware is unofficial, Square will not support you should you run into any issues.
It’s important to understand the difference between pairing and connecting Bluetooth devices. Pairing identifies the devices to each other, and establishes a bond between them. This enables the paired devices to connect in the future without repeating authentication checks.

Hi, Travis from POSGuys.com. Today we’ll be reviewing the M series of printers from Epson. This is the TM-M30 and the TM-M10 receipt printers. They’re both thermal receipt printers, they’re similar form factor where they’re very square. This is the 3-inch version, this is the 2-inch version. By 3-inch version, this means this uses standard receipt printer of 3 inch width, and this uses a 2 inch, smaller receipt paper. They’re both top load or front load, this is set into front-load version, this is set in to top-load version. They print at a reasonable rate, this is an 8-inch per second, and this is a 6-inch per second. The 8-inch per second is the same as the current model TM-T20ii version, so it’s the same print speed, it’s just a much more compact form factor.
Battery life is poor. I was told by an employee at Star that you can not operate this printer while plugged into AC. You can only use AC to charge the battery and then unplug it. This is a very nice nit and functions well, but you will need extra (expensive) batteries to make through a busy day.
Prynt is a really compact and sleek iPhone photo printer ideal for Apple iPhone 6s, 6, and 7. With this device you can transform your phone into an instant camera, and you can watch the photo print out instantaneously. Furthermore, it prints on ZINK paper with ink already embedded into it, so you don’t need to worry about cartridge troubles.
So in the scheme of “would we buy these printers?” it comes down to would we buy these instead of other Epson printers? I would probably recommend the T20II the most out of all the printers, I think for the price and features and warranty, the T20II is your best bet. If you are worried about space though, take a look at the M series, especially the M10, it’s very very small compared to older receipt printers. The styling on both of these are better than the T20II. If you’re looking for just pure performance, pure reliability, pure speed, the T88V is still your best bet. So that’s kind of the Epson overview of all their printers. Good printers, probably at this time not their best printers, but they are space saving options, and there are some unique pairing capabilities, so if you’re on a tablet or something like that and you don’t have a USB port, then take a look and see if a proper interface is available for you. To purchase these printers, or for more information, please visit us at POSGuys.com. Thanks!
The problem is the 3port usb hub. On one stand I onlyy have 1 of the 3 ports that works at all. On another stand I have to disconnect and then reconnect the usb’s to the printer and scanner. Square wont just send you a new cable, you have to file a warrenty claim and wait 5 to 7 business days to get a new stand. This is extremely poor customer service as I have 2 locations that have non functioning equipment. For the love,  just send me replacement chords so I can have my business up and running. This service issue has me reconsidering square as my point of sale.
This is supposed to have 2 bluetooth radios and be able to pair and print from 2 phones simultaneously. I have not figured this out yet. I have not tried a LOT but the instructions do not indicate how to add a second phone

My account was deactivated for something that I was wrongfully accused of doing. Someone filled a dispute saying they didn’t authorize the $200 transaction (2 months after the transaction) square TOOK $200 from my bank account and closed my account (that was only my second dispute in 2 years with them and the first dispute was settled in my favor). Here we are almost 4 months later after I started using another site for my business, and finally I get an email that says “the $200 dispute was decided in your favor” I thought… well finally. Makes sense because the idiot that did the dispute lives across country but claimed they never even made the payment (like how the heck could I make a payment on behalf of you when the invoice was sent to your email) but anyway they decided in my favor… YAY I GET MY $200 back! NOPE… WRONG… SORRY NOT TODAY… square then tells me I have to wait another minimum of 90- maximum of 180 days for the money to go back in my account!!! IM SOOO P*SSED OFF!!!! So there is literally $200 sitting in a square account no longer active and I just have to wait another 100+ days! Not happening. I contacted BBB and will be posting on every social media out there. They have the WORST customer service ever. If you even get the LEAST bit aggravated on a call with them, they just hang up.. DO NOT, I REPEAT DOOOOOONOOOOOOTTTT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE

It has been made with second-generation ZINK technology. “ZINK” here means “zero ink”, i.e., this photo printer doesn’t require ink cartridges, which is quite a relief! You need to print on the special ZINK paper.
If you want an extremely portable model that fits in your pocket and connects to iOS, Android, and Windows devices this is the way to go. For connecting with mobile devices you’ll need an app if you want to print receipts, and for Windows computers you’ll need to download a driver and connect it via USB.
This printer is fast and has useable options. I use it with my iPad and Square credit card reader. You can also use it for POS or other systems or configurations. Using it with Square credit card processor I save paper because I only print the customer copy because all the other transaction data is accessed online. And when I tap print on my iPad it starts and completes the printing in just one second. I saw this printer being used at my local drug store with a different setup and it too works well. Give it a try and I think you’ll be glad you did.
The Kodak Dock is a great iPhone photo printer which allows you to print photographs directly from your smartphone device. It produces high-quality images at 4” x 6” dimensions, using an advanced patent dye sublimation printing technique in combination with a photo preservation layer, the latter to prevent the photographs from smudge, tears, or damage. It also comes with a docking system which can charge your devices as you wait for the prints. You can use the free Kodak Photo Printer App to add templates, make collages, and edit the output image.
This video, from http://www.beaglehardware.com, describes how to connect the approved printer and cash drawer to Square Register. With Square Register, you can print receipts for your customers at the counter. Connect to a cash drawer to make change for customers and store cash. The cash drawer will automatically open when connected to a supported receipt printer for every cash transaction and refund on your iPad or Android device.
Virtual Serial Port to USB   Use a USB connection with old software. Create a Virtual Serial Port to support older applications that only communicate via serial. This tool will convert serial commands to USB, which the TSP100 understands
Square for Android works with any printer driven cash drawer, as long as the cash drawer is compatible with the receipt printer you’re using. We successfully used Square with APG, MMF, and POS-X printer driven cash drawers (hooked up to our TSP100 USB printer), but any printer driven cash drawer should work. If you’re looking for a cash drawer to use instead of the official cash drawers, we recommend:
The Square Stand is only available for iPads but there are tons of third party mounts and stands that can be used with the Android devices and the Square Register App will absolutely work with your Galaxy 6.
UPDATE: August 14, 2016 – Still no issues with printing. There is a slight delay, about five seconds, between completing the transaction and printing the receipt. This could very well be an issue using Square Payment Systems, and not really the printer and the IPad that I’ve linked it to for Square sales. The printer does lose its Bluetooth connection when I move the IPad to the next room, which is expected, but it often does not “find” and then “pair” again without me going through the printer’s pairing process again. For that reason, I’m lowering my star rating from five to four. In the scheme of things, this is just a minor inconvenience and the printer quality more than makes up for any issues with pairing from time to time.
Square is not interested in using anyone but Star. And their attitude is that they frankly don’t care. I know, I have emails from them about it. If I was to guess, I would bet they have a deal with Star that funds their (insert pizza parties, to silk pockets). But lets be realistic. I mean it has to be something viable, right? The fact that Star uses the same print protocals that Epson uses has no bearing on an Epson receipt printer not working. It goes in the same line as Android devices can’t use bluetooth devices… although that new chip reader is bluetooth. It is a lack of customer service and they need to step up to the plate, or someone is going to come along and take their business away from them.

You can use any of our Square Compatible Receipt Printers with the Square Stand Hardware, this setup has the most options to choose from. If you are connecting straight to the Square Stand via the USB hub, or with Bluetooth we offer the following Thermal Printers for printing Credit Card Receipts :
Printer type: Wireless, all-in-one color inkjet printer. Easily accomplish everything you need – This HP wireless printer easily adapts to everything your day has in store: print, scan, copy and fax at fast speeds with a 35-page auto-document feeder
Don’t forget the \* at the end. Once installed, when you run sam, it will simply start hppi when you specify a “Network Printer”. However, I find the menu quite difficult to navigate for a simple printer, so I use the hppi utility addqueue to add the printer.
The SP700 is designed to make installation, utilization and maintencance as easy as possible for any user. The SP700 is ready to be used right “out-of-the-box”. A CD with WHQL XP®, 2K®, Vista® drivers, Linux and Mac® OSX drivers and documentation is included with the printer, making it ready for operation immediately after purchase.
We used to use a standard receipt paper and decided that for the small cost difference it was worth trying a more environmentally safe option. So far the receipts have been just as good as the older stock.
