Purchase receipt paper by the roll or by the case. There are two types of receipt paper on the market today: thermal receipt paper and plain receipt paper. Thermal paper is for use in receipt printers that use heat driven or thermal printing while plain receipt paper is best for any printer where the media is transferred to the paper. Dot matrix, impact and inkjet printers are examples of printers that transfer ink onto the receipt paper itself without the use of heat. Consult your receipt printer manual for the correct paper type for your printer.

I didn’t think there was anyplace left on the Web where you could call and get expert help, but when my monitor began blanking out, I found an old receipt with Newegg’s phone number and made a desperation call. The rep took his time, asked intelligent questions, got me set up with just what I needed and got it here fast! I just bumped Newegg to the top of my list. Many thanks!

Features on the ready print: you have your LED lights to tell you if there’s error or when you’re out of paper when the cover is open, etc. Drop in loading- just take your thermal receipt paper, drop it in, close it, and good to go. On/off switch is on the front and as we come around to the back, you can see the ports. On all versions of the ready print, there’s going to be a USB connection. This is the power plug adapter to the PS-180 Power supply, that’s a change from the previous model which had the power supply built in. Now it’s a separate power brick, it makes the unit a little smaller, it also allows you to replace one unit. Should the power supply fail, you can buy a new power supply where before if the power supply failed, then you’d have to replace the unit. Here’s your serial connection, they went back to using a 25 pin serial connection where it was a 9 pin serial connection on the previous model. Most setups are not going to use the serial printer, you’re only going to need the USB so buy the serial version but it doesn’t matter, you’re just not going to use the serial port. Your cash drawer port is located on the top and that’s how you’re going to connect your cash drawer. On other models it was down below and now, it’s up top here. Additionally there is a wall mount bracket for the printer, it screws on and you can mount on the back and that’s how you would attach it on the wall. You can also see those little cut outs here where you can put the additional set of rubber feet then if you wanted to mount it vertically, you’d have the paper feed out of it like so. You can do that as well, just two different mounting options for this printer.
i picked up some ncr receipt paper also, which works great in the printer. print quality is excellent, and the speed is plenty fast. the cutter also works very well. the footprint is small enough that the printer fits neatly behind the monitor, on top of the cash drawer. servicing the printer is also very easy, as all you need to do is open the top, toss in a new roll of paper, and make sure some extra paper is sticking out the top when you close it; no feeding paper through rollers or any of that headache. it does all the work for you.
First, we’d like to stress that you must choose the proper port type for your particular EPSON printer, otherwise the printer just won’t work. If you accidentally select the wrong port type, don’t stress — you’ll be taken back to the Printer Configuration window after you set up your printer, where you can highlight the printer in the list and click the Edit button to make changes to your configuration.
If you want to be able to print Open Dining order notifications to your EPSON receipt printer, though, you need to utilize EPSON’s software, as the Windows automatic discovery and installation of your printer just won’t cut it. You need to download and install the EPSON Advanced Printer Driver (APD), which we’re going to walk through in this article.
To create your own bar codes and labels, you’ll need to use a third-party application. At the moment, we don’t support bar code and label printers and can’t guarantee compatibility, but many customers have success using the DYMO Label Writer 450 and labels with Square.

Ethernet port: an Ethernet port a little more common these days, and is used for connecting to networks. If your EPSON printer is using an Ethernet port, it won’t be plugged directly into your computer, but rather to a network router or switch. You’d select the “Create an Ethernet port” option if the port you’re plugging into looks like this:

This was the printer recommended to us by OCLC, WorldShare Management Systems in 2012. As a library, we need a printer that is compatible with Java. The Epson TM-T88V receipt printer functions great…as long as Java is not updated. Whenever Java is updated, we have to have our IT department spend hours getting it to work for us once again. However, I believe this is not just an issue with Epson printers. I would challenge Epson to be the first to resolve the issue…then they will still be the receipt printer recommended to libraries throughout the world. Otherwise another company will take the forefront. Here’s what our worldwide library system has told us:
This is made by a very well known company. EPSON is known for quality products and detailed support information. Printer drivers for the product are easily available in EPSON’s website. They have done a very thoughtful and thorough job in supporting their products.
If you accept credit card payments from your customers at your place of business, you’ll want a receipt printer. A receipt printer automatically prints a receipt for your customer when they make a purchase.
The TM-22 is a great all-around receipt printer, especially if you’re a low volume retail establishment. It’s quiet, its decently fast, about 30 percent faster than the older TM-T20 receipt printer. The warranty is 2 years, which isn’t quite as good as the 4 year warranty on the TM-T88 V, the speed also isn’t quite as good, but it’s still a good all-around receipt printer and something you should consider if you want a better printer than an impact printer but you don’t want to spend the full price of the TM-T88 V. For more information or to purchase the receipt printer, please visit us at www.posguys.com.
Of course if you are looking for maximum printing speed, you need to look at the head temperature and how many dots are actually active. But this is also pretty similiar for all printers i’ve used so far.
The Mini printer can work on a lot of locations, such as the TAXI bill printing, administrative fees receipt printing, post receipt printing, restaurant ordering information printing, online payment information printing, etc.
We had trouble connecting this printer over WiFi, but I contacted support via WhatsApp and an agent connected with me right away (despite a 13-hour time zone difference between us) through TeamViewer and solved our problems. I recommend them for their service.
